The reward: Why we should be mentoring young hunters

“Mentoring is an educational tool – if you can mentor someone, they will pay it forward too. That is the most exciting part of this program – ‘the reward’ you get from sharing the skills you learn with the next generation of hunters.”

In this short video from Project Upland, watch as a 12-year-old hunter experiences the sheer excitement and wonder of hunting along with his mentor.

While the young hunter outlines the delight he feels at being so close to the birds around him, his mentor, Mark Fouts from the Ruffed Grouse Society shares his personal passion for the hunter mentor program which aims to get more young people into hunting.
